Frosty and Patti!

I try not to have any preconceived notions about my dog models before I get to know them.. but I have to admit that I did judge these two a bit and I got it ALL wrong!

Frosty and Patti came together for their photo shoot with their two humans, who are sisters. Frosty was initially so quiet and reserved while Patti was jumping all around that I certainly thought Patti would be the more challenging to shoot!

But… Frosty decided right away that I was just not that interesting. Neither were my treats or my toys or my animal noises! It must be a Westie thing. I mean, he is adorable and so sweet- but he definitely knows he’s a handsome guy and he knew he was in hot demand! And nothing I did seemed to really catch his eye… until…… I brought out the ole’ 15 cent duck whistle!

What a face, right? I had to finagle a bit, but once he got the hang of working the camera- he pretty much went for it! Here, he’s showing off his best side:)

Frosty is just gorgeous, isn’t he? Wow! Adorable.

Now… back to first impressions…. I thought Patti was going to be a little wild child with her wiggly behind and her happy little self. But can this dog pose or what?!!! This dog was fantastic to photograph! I swear if dogs could be paid to model, she’s be a millionaire!

I’m not sure what all to say about Patti except that I could have taken a million photos of her. She was perfectly attentive and polite. She did pretty  much anything I asked. She’s really a lovely dog.

Patti and Frosty were a blast to photograph- each in their own way. That’s what makes this job so much fun. Every animal is different and… I’ve learned…. you can never judge a dog by it’s cover:)
